testing these 2 detectors to see how well they work , i ahve 3 coins buried in my back yard in a “test patch” .. A Nickel , a Dime and a Quarter , all 3 are exactly 6 inches deep ……… the BH Sharpshooter II works great and depth is pretty good , only issue i have eith this detector is that after about 5 inches that in some areas near power lines the “ground balance” is off a little and the ID display will give you a mixed reading on what type of object in buried , i have dug holes 8 inches deep on quarters so its a pretty good machine for the money.. The Garrett Trasure Ace 100 is a great beginner detector and in my opinion is one of the best “coinshooter” detector for the money, descriminates metals verry well and after a couple of “mods” it goes quite deep as well, no real issues on this detector and this is probably one of the best “turn on and go” detectors out there ..
